02 — Context

The product is the story.
The room is the world.

Most furniture advertising sells aspiration through lifestyle — beautiful people in beautiful spaces. These films took a different approach: each piece of furniture was given its own story, its own emotional world. The product wasn't featured in someone's life. The product was the reason for the scene.

Italian Collection
A dining table built for the kind of meal you remember. Crafted around the ritual of sitting together — the table earns the moment.
Recliner
The chair that becomes yours the moment you sit in it. Personal comfort distilled — a room within a room.
Malgudi
An ethnic collection rooted in South Indian warmth and craft. Heritage that lives in a home, not a museum — furniture with memory.
03 — The Work
Cinematography

Each film needed its own visual language — the Italian Collection called for clean architectural framing and cooler, refined light; the Recliner for intimacy, warmth, and a quieter camera; Malgudi for richly textured shots that let the grain and craft of the wood speak.

  • Distinct colour palette per product — no single template across all three
  • Camera movement calibrated to each film's emotional register
  • Product always in frame as a character, never just a prop
  • Natural lighting anchored to the spaces and textures of each scene
Creative Direction

The creative challenge was giving each film its own identity while maintaining coherence as a Royal Oak series. Working with director Sriram Iyer and agency Verrocchios Workways, the direction for each film was built around a single emotional truth — the feeling that only this piece of furniture in this space could produce.

  • Italian Collection: aspirational domesticity — the table as the centrepiece of the room
  • Recliner: solitude and comfort — the feeling of switching off
  • Malgudi: cultural warmth and craft — furniture as inherited beauty
  • Series coherence maintained through Royal Oak's brand palette and tone
